Camera is just the worst. This game looks and sounds fantastic. If only the developers had put the same amount of effort into gameplay and bug fixes.. Camera. Camera is just the worst. make season 2 damn it!. Camera. Camera is just the worst. Completed the story and I liked it. The narration is nice, the story telling along with cutscenes are nicely done and the voice acting is good. Only thing that bothered me was the mechanics of the game. The movements/hitbox of your character feels a little off, sometimes you get stuck running through doors/hallways or areas that have a lot of objects scattered around, which makes your escape from AI difficult. Other than that, the AI seemed a little off, but the overall gameplay makes up for it.If you are considering Thief of Thieves, look out for a sale/discount and grab yourself a copy. It's a different experience.. First of all let me say that I actually really like the game, my only issue with the game are the game breaking bugs and the camera. The game had a good start but slowly from Volume 2 onwards I started to notice issues with the game. The fixed camera system and while I don't mind it as I view it as a 2.5D game, I would expect to atleast be able to pan the camera around a bit as not having the ability to do so is incredibly cumbersome for a stealth game and having the bars on the side are not a good replacement as you cannot tell how far someone is from you, whether they are walking away from you or standing still etc. I noticed a few bugs where the game would get stuck on loading screen. There's one persistent bug i.e. the game never quits and I have to ctrl+alt+del everytime. Additionally, game doesn't allow for overlays from Geforce experience, DSR doesn't seem to work either.------SPOILER for Volume 4------Then here's the worst part, Volume 4 has lots of bugs. I started noticing at the start in the party that NPCs would get locked in a behaviour loop and it'd change if I was near them. In the bank section itself I've noticed a game breaking bug where I cannot get inside the objective area because there is an NPC that always stands next to the keycard reader looking at it and doesn't move at all. Then there's another NPC that talks to the receptionist but the moment I move near the keycard reader he will stop his conversation and immediately turn towards the door and stand next to it. ANd he would not move an inch from there until I get far away. Once I do that he goes back to his previous behaviour loop of chatting with the receptionist but again as soon as I start nearing the door the same thing happens and he prevents me from going inside. I got around this but quickly running around the lobby to attract guards towards me and quickly get in, but onc eI was in I noticed another bug where the person who was suppose to come and I was suppose to hide from...never came in. Until she popped up instantly for 2 seconds from the floor and then disappeared. Then I got stuck while trying to move the ladder. Reloading checkpoint doesn't help because the bug seems to be everpresent in the save file itself. All of this could potentially be avoided if the game allowed for manual saving and separate save files rather than relying on one single save file that can only be autosaved.Basically I've played the game for 7 hours and I can't even refund it and it doesn't look like this will get fixed as the game's been out for several months now and it's from a small developer. Extremely disappointed because the game had potential and was quite fun even when it worked !!. it has the best gameplay that you can experience in a story-driven game.your choices in both story and gameplay lead you to different situations and if you want to experience this, you need play it more than once.i hope they continue developing next seasons and im really excited for them.10/10. This is an 'alright' game I guess. Well actually, to be fair, this is pretty good by today's standards, and definitely deserves something more than a 'mixed' review on Steam, seeing how many 'overwhelmingly positive' sh!ites I've played. Let's start with the story, which is surprisingly fairly decent. It's probably not going to win any prize for that, but you do have a well-thought and engaging narrative about you living the life as a professional thief and heisting all over the world. Very straightforward, nothing cheesy, nothing contrived. By the finale I felt genuinely connected with some of the characters like this theif master Damiano, who has been tutoring me in the past months and has an excellent voice acting. The gameplay is a bit like Hitman, or rather a simplified or weaker version of it. Obviously in this case you steal rather than assassin, but you do have many similar mechanics like disguise, distraction, sneaking, blending in, different ways to achieve your target, and so forth. It works overall I'd say, but of course it is more linear and you have much less options than in Hitman, and some mechanics are just pure bullsh!t like the pickpocket and hacking, which are way too easy. Of course, you also have conversations and dialogues in this game, some of which have consequences but most are just informational. The artstyle is OK. Some scenes are quite stunning but a few I found are just 'meh', and similarly some characters are more appealing than the others. The main character Ceilia is... she could use some more artistic considerations, let's just put it that way. But that's just personal taste. Graphics is fine overall, but anti-aliasing needs to be fixed, as you constantly see these unpleasant jagged lines everywhere. Now, the elephant in the room is the control and the camera. My goodness, do something to your camera! This is the biggest problem I have with this game. It's sort of between a 2.5D and an isometric viewpoint, but you can't change the camera freely and you are bound to two fixed camera positions, which in many cases just do not work! Very often I found myself unable to see my character, bumping into things not visually accessible to me, confused about which is in the front and which is in the back between two objects, looking for doors which turned about to transparent, moving outside of the screen without the camera responding. The controls of running, croaching, and throwing things are also very cluncky... Seriously, it needs an overhaul. If you can get over this, yes, there is a nice game underneath it. With the overall quality, and a campaign of about 5-6 hours with some replay value, I'd say it's recommendable at the twenty dollar price.
